Customer Delivery Driver

Location: Eugene, Oregon

General Description:  This is a full-time position that involves driving the MRH Van or other designated company vehicles to deliver orders to customers as well as pick up and deliver products, paperwork, and other items as designated between MRH sites and MRH Head Quarters located on Stewart Road.

Scheduled: Monday through Friday 9am- 5:30pm. 

This position starts at $19.00/hour. 

Knowledge Skills and abilities required:

  • Ability to perform quick and accurate tasks with a strong attention to detail.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with supervisor and coworkers.

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere.

  • Ability to stay focused and multi-task in a busy environment.
  • Possess a valid OR driver license, pass an in-house driving test, and maintain a clean driving record.

  • Communicate with MRH staff, Managers, Directors, Vendors, Customers, other Drivers, and Staff at other facilities in a timely, efficient, and professional manner.

  • Ability to "shift gears" at a moment's notice and have a professional “customer forward” demeanor.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Be dependable – consistently at work on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback for improved performance.

  2. Follow all MRH procedures and protocols.

  3. Drive the MRH Van, other MRH passenger vehicles, and use of other heavy equipment needed and with proper operator and safety training in place.

  4. Must be able to communicate in an effective and timely manner with multiple departments as well as MRH customers and able to juggle multiple priorities at once.

  5. Demonstrate efficiency and organizational skills.  

  6. Exhibit exceptional customer service skills, and a professional, cheerful demeanor both with customers as well as fellow MRH Staff.

  7. Properly break down and build pallets when necessary for storage and travel.

  8. Check deliveries and keep accurate inventory records of all materials being transported. Ensure proper storage protocols are always followed.

  9. Keep accurate inventory records throughout the delivery run.
    1. Load and organize product inventory and equipment from warehouse into the designated vehicle.
    2. Record and unload products in and out as needed throughout the day between different businesses and MRH facilities.

  10. Pick-up and delivery duties and destinations may include but are not limited to the Mercantile, Madrone, local wholesale customers, transporting labels and bulk fill bags for orders, urgent pick floor needs from Dogwood, mail pickup, free lunches, etc.

  11. Courier duties include transporting paperwork, sensitive documents, and pay packets.

  12. Organize and maintain delivery paperwork and deliver it to the proper personnel at the end of each shift.

  13. Inspect delivery vehicle daily looking for anything problematic (low tire pressure, tire wear, dents etc.) and report any abnormalities. Refuel vehicles as needed.

  14. Immediately report any accidents or vehicle issues encountered to supervisors.

  15. Willingness to learn and perform new procedures, equipment, and technologies.

  16. Other duties as assigned.

Physical requirements may include but are not limited to:          

  • Lifting (with assistance if over 50 pounds), pushing, pulling up to 65+ pounds. Using a pallet jack to move larger orders.

  • Bending at knees and at waist associated with retrieving, loading and/or delivering products.

  • Physical twisting, stooping, bending at knees, bending at the waist, etc. related to delivery duties.

  • Working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Exposure to herb dust

  • Exposure to strong aromatics
