Inventory Staff

Location: Eugene, Oregon

General Description: Mountain Rose Herbs is a progressive company seeking dedicated and enthusiastic individuals for our Inventory operations! This is a full-time, fast-paced position which requires working under strict deadlines. Ensure the proper record keeping, storage, and transfer of all inventoried products for HQ. Employees should be willing to stay late for overtime, if necessary, to complete necessary tasks for the next day.

Essential Job Functions:

    1. Be dependable – consistently at work and on time, follow instructions, and respond to management feedback.
    2. Be proactive- continue to develop skills, gain additional knowledge, and solicit feedback for improved performance.
    3. Follow MRH procedures and protocols; including policies set out for the Inventory department.
    4. Exhibit a keen eye for detail and extremely accurate record keeping skills.
    5. Ensure exact tracking of all materials by accurate record keeping: use and update both written and electronic logs/spreadsheets (WMS/SAP/EXCEL)
    6. Work closely with and communicate effectively with the Material Control Supervisor, Production & Inventory Manager- HQ, Quality Control, and other department staff on a continuous and ongoing basis.
    7. Receive all transferred products (herbs, teas, oils, etc):
      1. Unload trucks and check in materials against the transfer sheets, both physical and digital ITRs.
      2. Ensure the quality of the packaging and label content validation.
      3. Palletizing, re-palletizing and repackaging as needed.
    8. Ensure proper storage protocols are followed:
      1. Maintain the flow of the receiving floor and store materials efficiently and correctly.
      2. Assist inventory personnel and QC with needs and address issues as they arise.
    9. Arrange for movement of materials to other warehouses as directed by Material Control Supervisor.
      1. Generate paperwork and load the material as directed.
    10. Gather materials for shipment to the mill, other warehouses, or outside vendors.
      1. Confirm weights, piece counts, and lot numbers.
      2. Build and wrap pallets.
    11. Receive incoming ground and freight shipments.
      1. Check in materials against a pack slip.
      2. Update both written and electronic logs/spreadsheets (WMS/SAP/EXCEL) and generate QC paperwork.
      3. Generate and apply necessary labels.
    12. Depending on the needs of the company and the daily workflow, Inventory Specialists may assist other departments with their workload.
    13. Willingness to learn and perform new procedures, equipment, and technologies.
    14. Other Duties as assigned.

     

    Physical requirements may include but are not limited to:

    • Lifting up to 55 pounds continuously. Heavy lifting up to 75 pounds occasionally.
    • Bending at knees and at waist associated with retrieving these products.
    • Being on one's feet most of the day at a fixed station.
    • Associated twisting, bending, pulling as necessary to reach into bulk bins and products from shelves.
    • Bag closing by hand using zip locks, twist ties and or clamps.
    • Scooping with various sizes of metal scoops.
    • Reaching into bags, boxes, and barrels to retrieve material.
    • Pushing a loaded cart
    • Fast pace environment
    • Exposure to herb dust and strong aromatics
