QC Production Agent
Location: Eugene, Oregon
General Description: This is a full-time, fast-paced position which requires working under strict deadlines and with a keen eye for detail. This position assists the QC Production Supervisor and other QC Production staff with routine functions and daily task.
Location: This position may be stationed and operate from several different Mountain Rose Herbs (MRH) production areas to include 4020 Stewart, 4060 Stewart, and the Mountain Rose Herbs Industrial Campus.
Schedule: Monday- Wednesday 10 am-6:30 pm and Saturday- Sunday 8 am-4:30 pm.
- Please note that this position will require both weekend days.
- This schedule may be subject to change depending on the needs of the department.
This position starts at $18.00/hour, not including the $1 an hour shift differential.
Knowledge Skills and abilities required:
- Ability to perform quick and accurate work with a strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Ability to communicate competently with the QC Production Supervisor, Director of Quality and Regulatory Affairs, other staff within the QC Department, the Production & Inventory Director, and other staff as needed, particularly for any questions, concerns or issues that arise.
- Ability to perform accurate record keeping, basic typing skills, and have legible handwriting.
- Ability to follow instructions and work well with others in a team orientated environment.
- Position requires the ability to "shift gears" at a moment's notice and maintain a professional demeanor.
Essential Job Functions:
- Dependability: consistently at work and on time, follow instructions, respond to management direction, and solicit feedback for improved performance.
- Follow all MRH procedures, policies, and protocols including those specific to QC Production.
- Review and approve production batch records and labels.
- Draft batch records for Extract Production (will require math calculations).
- Investigate non-conformances and complete non-conformance reports.
- Work with QC Lab to inspect products and materials.
- Assist QC with customer compliant investigations and place products on hold.
- Respond to radio calls for QC Production.
- Willingness to learn and perform new procedures, equipment, and technologies.
- Perform these tasks quickly and accurately:
- ATP and environmental swabbing.
- Test sanitizer.
- Check spice and tea blends.
- Label updates.
- Conduct warehouse inspections.
- Complete facility pest logs.
- Update MMR’s/MF’s notebooks at 4020 (Kitchen and Tea/Spice).
- Conduct actual yield and fill checks on the Herb Floor.
- Place material on hold in inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical requirements may include but are not limited to:
- Lifting up to 50 pounds or more
- Being on one’s feet most of the day and working at a stationary position for long periods of time
- Pushing a mobile cart
- Working in a fast-paced environment
- Exposure to herb dust
- Exposure to strong aromatics
- Exposure to specific laboratory chemicals
- Associated bending, stooping, twisting, and moving around production areas to perform tasks
