Wholesale Accounts Representative 

This position must follow regulatory, Oregon Tilth regulations, Safety regulations, and GMP compliance at all times.

Supervised by: Wholesale Director

General Description: This is a full-time position within the Wholesale Department. The Wholesale Accounts Representative is responsible for meeting the needs of our general Wholesale Accounts and assisting other Representatives who have more specialized accounts. Taking/receiving and invoicing Wholesale orders received from multiple avenues. Answering product and policy questions as well as handling routine issues found within the Wholesale department.

While this is generally a Monday-Friday, 7:30a-4:00p schedule, this position requires time of working outside of this schedule for projects such as for business travel to include prepping for and attending sales calls, Trade Shows, etc.

This position starts at $20/hr. 

Knowledge, skills, and abilities required:

  • Must have the ability to perform quick and accurate work with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to communicate in a competent and timely manner with Wholesale Director, particularly for any questions, concerns or issues that arise.
  • Exhibit exceptional customer service skills and possess a professional and cheerful demeanor when working with customers as well as fellow MRH staff whether on the phone, via email, in person, etc.
  • Demonstrate the ability follow instructions and work well with others in a team orientated environment.
  • Ability to learn and retain detailed information quickly.
  • Communicate effectively both written and verbal with customers, Wholesale Team members, Management staff, and other MRH staff.
  • Exhibit accurate and efficient writing, typing, and verbal skills.
  • Knowledge of computer operations to include competent typing/data entry skills, internet research, operate basic MS Office programs and more specialized software for the position.
  • Possess herbal knowledge especially geared towards the sales of a product, knowledge of working both in the sales and herbal industries, as well as a willingness to learn more.
  • Must have a valid Oregon driver’s license.
  • Must be available and willing to travel:
    • Travel may include local, statewide, out of state, day trips and overnight trips.
  • This position requires the ability to "shift gears" at a moment's notice and have a professional demeanor at all times.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  1. Dependability: is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback for improved performance.
  2. Must be able to communicate with Wholesale customers clearly and professionally over the phone, via email, and written as well as in person while conducting outreach.
  3. Must be comfortable with managing personal workflow and communicating updates with Wholesale Director.
  4. Must utilize marketing and outreach skills when dealing with customers both as a routine contact and at special meetings, events, etc
  5. Must possess superior product knowledge to include ongoing education.
  6. Must have the ability to multi-task at a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.
  7. Must be able to create quotes, invoices, process orders and deal with all facets of Customer Service responsibilities.
  8. Must have an excellent phone demeanor and a keen eye for detail.
  9. Must be a team player with excellent time management skills.
  10. Must maintain ongoing relationships with assigned accounts as well as assist in growing the department via attracting and vetting new accounts.
  11. Outreach within wholesale businesses and the sales community that may include Trade Show attendance.
  12. Regular regional sales trips to customers to maintain our presence and to build strong, lasting relationships with buyers/business owners.
  13. Willingness to learn and perform new procedures, equipment, and technologies.
  14. Other Duties as Assigned

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for periods of time while either on the phone and/or performing data entry duties (typing, using a mouse, etc.)
  • Must be able to stand/walk for periods of time while either traveling or attending events.
  • Minimal physical requirements to include associated standing, bending, stooping, carrying, etc. when retrieving files/orders, gather promotional materials, for immediate use or preparing for events.
  • Must be able to meet physical requirements necessary during travel or events, either by walking, car, and/or plane.
